Vintage Pakula Christmas Tree pin / earring set

This is a nice pin and clip-back earring set. These will attract a lot of attention! They feature a Christmas tree design in rhinestones - red and green on the pin, with a white star, and multicolored stones on the earrings. The set appears to all go together, with a trunk shaped and scored to appear like bark,

Pakula & Co. was a Chicago, IL design firm c. 1932--- 1997/98. My grandmother lived in Chicago and collected jewelry all her 98 years - so they could date from any time in the last 60 or 70 years! They look to me like they might be from the 1950s, but they could be earlier.


The earrings are about 1/2 inch in length. The pin is about 2" in length. They are all marked Pakula.

I cannot wear the earrings like this any more due to surgery on my ear - so I will give someone else a chance at this lovely set!

These set of jewelry has been worn, but is still in nice condition.

New dental regime on Vine St

DH went to the dentist last week, and received a recommendation to get a WaterPik to help his decay-prone teeth. I also have teeth that are at risk for decay, due to dry mouth and XRT, so I have a Sonicare toothbrush to get my teeth squeaky-clean. Since the sink isn't too far from the toilet, a toothbrush sanitizer is a good idea - since airborne bacteria is a problem any time the toothbrush is kept in the bathroom without being covered. The Sonicare toothbrush sits in the charger most of the time, so it's exposed.

Here's the new set-up! These gadgets take up quite a lot of space on the countertop, and the cords are a bit unsightly, but hopefully, they will save future dentist bills. It's a bit of a hassle to take off the Sonicare toothbrush head for every use, but I actually feel a bit better, knowing that it's clean and not infecting me with germs and viruses every use.
